What is Somatic and Internal Family Systems (IFS) Coaching?

The word “somatic” comes from the Greek somatikos, meaning the whole living body. We often focus on our thoughts, yet true clarity and transformation comes when we bring awareness to the whole of ourselves; thoughts, feelings, sensations and deep rooted perceptions. Somatic coaching combines mind-body based practices with self-reflection to help you let go of old patterns and reconnect with who you truly are. Just like plants naturally grow toward the light without striving—becoming more pine, more oak, or more birch—we each have an inner blueprint guiding us. I support that natural unfolding, helping you clear the blocks—whether they’re stress patterns, limiting beliefs, or unresolved memories—so you can move forward with greater ease and authenticity.

When relevant, I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help individuals understand their inner world recognising it is made up of different “parts,” each with its own beliefs, role and needs. By acknowledging and understanding these parts instead of resisting them, you shift from inner conflict to greater self attunement..

We begin exactly where you are. What longs to come through you? What are you struggling with or need support to with? You are welcome to show up precisely as you are and with the capacity you bring. I will hold a space of compassionate empowerment as you unfold what needs to be understood. We will move at a pace that is nourishing for your nervous system.

Through open questions and mind-body practices rooted in your process, I will help you connect with what is ready to surface — what wants to be heard, seen, and felt to access new insights and clarify your way forward. You will leave with fresh insights to integrate into your life between sessions.
